The extreme heatwave observed in Iran in recent days has created serious pressure on the country's energy system. This situation, along with the increase in energy demand, has also increased the risk of power outages.
Redaksiya reports that the Iranian government has taken a series of measures to prevent these problems. In this context, a holiday was declared for government agencies in many provinces, including the capital Tehran, on July 23. The main purpose of this decision is to reduce energy consumption and ease the burden on the electricity grid. During the holiday, civil servants are expected to work from home or not come to work.
At the same time, the government has called on citizens to conserve energy. People have been asked to use air conditioners less, operate electrical appliances cautiously, and adhere to a conservation regime. These measures are expected to help ensure the stability of the country's energy system.
Iran's meteorological service predicts that air temperatures will remain high in the coming days. For this reason, additional measures by the government are not ruled out. The results of the measures taken to prevent the energy crisis will be known in the coming days.
