iPhone 17: Adobe's App Loses Front Camera Support

Problems have emerged with `Project Indigo`, Adobe's computational photography application designed for the new generation `iPhone 17` series. Difficulties with the app's front camera support have somewhat limited the user experience. This incident once again demonstrates the challenges encountered in adapting software to new devices and the dynamic nature of technological development.

Redaksiya reports that `Project Indigo`, Adobe's computational photography application, has struggled to adapt to the `iPhone 17` series' new square-format selfie sensor. For about a month, the app did not support `Apple`'s latest phones at all. `Adobe` worked in the background to resolve the issues and published occasional updates on `Adobe Community` forums. However, the company decided to completely disable front camera access to release a specific version of `Project Indigo` with `iPhone 17` support.

The `Project Indigo` app was launched in June and immediately gained fans for its softer approach to image processing compared to the standard `iPhone` camera app. However, the new sensors in the `iPhone 17` series apparently confused `Project Indigo`. A fix in `iOS 26.1` will allow `Adobe` to enable selfie camera support, but for now, `iPhone 17` owners will have to settle for rear camera support only.
