Ema Foura, a member of the European Parliament on board the "Hanzala" ship carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza, stated that they are about to reach the region.
The editorial office reports that Ema Foura emphasized they are approaching the coast of Gaza and that this mission is being carried out entirely for peaceful and humanitarian purposes.
"We hope not to be detained by Israel. Our sole purpose is to deliver aid to people suffering from hunger and under siege," Foura noted in her statement.
It is also reported that unmanned aerial vehicles are currently being observed near the ship, and communication is being cut off at certain moments. The Israeli army has not yet issued an official statement on the matter. The mission insists on delivering aid by sea, based on international law.
