The next phase of the "Euronews Academy" international training program, dedicated to the topic of "TV and live journalism," has been launched at Baku State University (BSU) within the framework of joint cooperation between the Media Development Agency and "Euronews" TV channel, one of Europe's leading news networks.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Fernando Soares, Executive Director of Euronews for Baku, noted that the "live journalism" format is a new generation media practice based on direct communication with the audience and emphasizing the principle of participation. He stated that the training program allows journalists to improve their skills in presenting events live, with factual accuracy and a balance of emotional impact. It was emphasized that this initiative is an important step serving to ensure reliability and the continuity of public interest in the information space.
Natig Mammadli, Deputy Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, noted that in the modern media environment, further enhancing the quality indicators of television journalism and applying new technological trends are of particular importance. He stated that such international cooperation projects contribute to the development of young journalists' knowledge and skills, as well as the adaptation of national television content to international standards, while also creating conditions for the sustainable development of media.
The four-day training program began in a special auditorium of the Media Development Agency at BSU with the topic "Preparation of Television News, Television Reports, and Live Broadcasts." Participants were introduced to practical skills such as preparing news stories, structuring materials for broadcast, and managing live connections, presented by Bojan Brkić, head of Euronews TV channel's Astana bureau, a professional journalist and media manager with extensive experience in television broadcasting.
It should be noted that the training program will continue until November 14.
