On November 17, the next training program on “Digital Journalism” was launched within the framework of the “Euronews Academy” project, held on the joint initiative of the Media Development Agency and the “Euronews” TV channel.

The editorial office reports that Fernando Soares, Executive Director of Euronews for Baku, speaking at the opening ceremony, stated that the “Euronews Academy” program is an important platform for sharing international media experience with journalists.

He noted that the “Digital Journalism” training provides participants with the opportunity to practically learn global media standards and the application of new technologies.

Natig Mammadli, Deputy Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, emphasized that media development is directly linked to innovative approaches and increased professionalism. He noted that these international projects contribute to strengthening the digital skills of local journalists and the sustainable development of the media environment.

The first day of the training was dedicated to the topic “Digital News Gathering and Data-Driven Journalism.” Participants were introduced to the principles of data analysis, fact-checking, and story structuring in a digital environment, presented by Tuba Altunkaya, a renowned specialist from Euronews TV channel and a multimedia journalist with over 14 years of international experience.

The training process continued with interactive lectures, group assignments, and video analyses.

It should be noted that in the following days of the training program, led by Tuba Altunkaya, a renowned specialist from Euronews TV channel and a multimedia journalist with over 14 years of international experience, and Akis Tatsis, head of Euronews' Greek service and Euronews Tashkent Bureau, sessions will be held on the modules “Social Media and YouTube Channel Management” and “Mobile Journalism.”
