Salaries paid to soldiers in Azerbaijan will be disbursed via bank cards.
The editorial office reports, citing Modern.az, that "soldier cards" have been prepared for this purpose.
It was noted that the distribution of "soldier cards" to military personnel has already begun.
Military expert, retired Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim Rustamli stated that "soldier cards" are being implemented to ensure transparency:
“Previously, soldiers' salaries were given out according to schedules, and soldiers would sign to receive them. Now, soldiers' salaries will be disbursed via "soldier cards." This is of great importance in terms of maintaining transparency. These cards will, to some extent, prevent instances of bribery.”
