Elxan Mikayılov Appointed Head of This Center

Elxan Mikayılov, CEO of "ASR Development Consulting Group," has been appointed head of the "UNEC World Trade Organization (WTO) International Research Center" by order of Professor Adalat Muradov, Rector of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC).

Elxan Mikayılov himself provided information about this.

He expressed his deep gratitude to the University leadership for entrusting him with this responsible position:

"Our Center operates with the aim of promoting economic research towards the maximum liberalization of international trade and creating a platform for quality scientific research for faculty and students. At the same time, providing scientific and practical support for our country's access to international goods and services markets during Azerbaijan's WTO accession process is one of our main priorities."

In accordance with the approved Regulations, our areas of activity will include the following tasks:

Strategic research: Conducting scientific research and studies within various projects based on the recommendations of the WTO inquiry center.

Legislative support: Preparing proposals for harmonizing normative legal documents defined by national legislation with WTO requirements.

Assistance to government and private sector: Contributing to the strengthening of trade policy by supporting the Azerbaijani government in WTO accession and trade negotiations.

Awareness-raising: Organizing international and national conferences, symposiums, as well as specialized seminars and training for entrepreneurs.

Global networking: Collaborating with research centers, institutes, and universities conducting research in the field of international trade both domestically and abroad.

I believe that our Center will play an important role as a think tank for both academic development and the regulation of our country's trade and economic relations.
