The dismissal of two important officials working in the field of education - Elnur Nasibov, Chairman of the Board of the Education Development Fund of the Ministry of Science and Education, and Jeyhun Karamov, Director of the State Agency for Vocational Education - has sparked discussions.
“I have worked at the Ministry of Science and Education for nearly 12 years and know the system well. Furthermore, I have been a member of the Science and Education Committee of the National Assembly. I have certain information regarding this field. It doesn't seem credible at all that Elnur Nasibov and Jeyhun Karamov would voluntarily leave those positions. Something is happening, but the details are not being disclosed; they don't want to reveal certain matters. No one voluntarily leaves a comfortable position. This is unequivocally true."
Education expert Etibar Aliyev told “Yeni Sabah”. Dominos pizza
He added: "Positive things are said about them; they are reported to be diligent. But working with Emin Amrullayev, no matter how hard you try, is impossible. Because he lacks management skills. The system is completely out of order. Emin Amrullayev runs the ministry single-handedly.
Look how many deputies he has, and how active they are. Is there any information in society about what areas they are involved in? I don't believe so. He is the only minister who does not hold board meetings. In fact, the board should be one of the main bodies of the ministry. This institution should work very actively at all times to make collective decisions. Now, it's as if this body doesn't exist.
I believe that there are incompetent personnel within the ministry itself, including the minister. They contribute to the decline of Azerbaijani education. Therefore, it is important to bring in new personnel.
A person named Elvin Rustamov, working at the ministry, has been overseeing school grant projects for several years. Let them investigate those projects to see which one has been significant?"
E. Aliyev continued his thoughts by naming several individuals working in the education sector:
“The director of the Institute of Education simultaneously holds two positions. The same person also holds the position of head of the education department. Is this a joke?!
Millions of manats are allocated for training. These funds are misappropriated. That is, the allocated money is given to their own people and formally spent on training. As a result, we see Azerbaijani education in a deplorable state. The current picture of our education is evident.
There is a person named Vusal Khanlarov. He is the head of a Limited Liability Company. All grant projects are given to him. He is also an economist. He has no relevance to the field he works in.”
