Within the framework of the “Forum on Combating Disinformation of Turkic States,” a bilateral meeting was held between the Executive Director of the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ahmad Ismayilov, and the Head of the Directorate of Public Relations of the Presidency of Turkey, Burhanettin Duran.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the strategic partnership formed in the media sector between Azerbaijan and Turkey is being consistently and purposefully developed in the direction of combating disinformation. It was noted that the rapid spread of false and manipulative content in the modern information environment has a serious impact on public opinion and regional stability, making it necessary to strengthen coordinated, institutional, and sustainable cooperation among Turkic states. In this context, the Turkey-Azerbaijan Media Platform was specifically highlighted as an effective mechanism for joint activities, operational information exchange, and the formation of a unified stance.
At the same time, it was stated that in a situation of intensifying information flows, expanding experience exchange in the media sector, deepening mutual dialogue, and promoting professional cooperation are of great importance. Confidence was expressed that discussions on existing challenges in the media and communication sector, the identification of practical solutions, and the formation of joint approaches will be carried out even more intensively in the future.
