The State Traffic Police appealed to road users regarding changing weather conditions
The Main State Traffic Police Department appealed to road users regarding changing weather conditions.
The editorial office reports that the appeal states:
"According to the National Hydrometeorology Service, strong winds are forecast for October 10th in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, as well as in various regions of the country. Such weather conditions can make it difficult to control vehicles, weaken control over the vehicle's trajectory due to the wind, and particularly pose a danger when driving heavy goods vehicles with trailers."
The Main State Traffic Police Department called on all road users to be careful due to changing weather conditions. Drivers were advised to choose a speed regime appropriate for the weather and road conditions, maintain a safe distance, be cautious during overtaking and maneuvering, and also check the tire pressure and technical condition of their vehicles in advance:
"Drivers traveling on open roads and bridges in windy weather, especially those driving trucks, buses, and minibuses, should be more careful behind the wheel and avoid sudden changes in direction.
Pedestrians are advised to be careful when crossing the road in windy or rainy weather, to use only pedestrian crossings, and to use reflective elements on their clothing in conditions of limited visibility.
Bicycle, scooter, and moped riders are advised to act cautiously, considering the increased risk of losing balance and sudden incidents in such weather conditions, and to avoid movement as much as possible during strong winds and rain."
The Main State Traffic Police Department once again reminded that, regardless of weather conditions, the careful and responsible behavior of every road user is crucial in preventing road traffic accidents.
