According to the Henley Passport Index 2025 report, the countries with the most powerful passports worldwide have been identified. The ranking is compiled based on the number of countries citizens can visit without a visa.
It is reported that Singapore, offering visa-free entry to 194 countries, is at the top of the list.
The top five are as follows:
- Singapore
- South Korea and Japan
- Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy and Spain
- Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal and Sweden
- Greece, Switzerland and New Zealand
Turkey ranks 46th, with its citizens able to travel visa-free to 118 countries.
Azerbaijan, on the other hand, ranks 68th this year. With an Azerbaijani passport, entry to 72 countries is currently possible either visa-free or under a simplified regime.
The report also takes into account countries' diplomatic influence, security ratings, and global mobility opportunities.
