Discord Hacked: All User Identity Information and Documents Stolen

A security incident has been recorded for user data submitted for age verification purposes via the platform's support service, as a result of unauthorized access to the system of one of Discord's contractors. It is reported that as a result of the incident, criminals gained access to users' personal information, including full name, email address, login name, nickname, the last 4 digits of cards, and document photos.

The editorial office reports that due to the company requiring identity verification with face scans from some users, it has been revealed that these photos were also stolen; although the access privileges granted to the contractor's system have been revoked, hackers managed to seize tens of gigabytes of data. Collaboration between the company and law enforcement agencies is already underway, and affected users are being informed via email.

As a result of the incident, the risk of personal data misuse has increased, so users are advised to strengthen their account and financial security, change passwords, activate two-factor authentication, and contact their banks. The investigation is ongoing, and further information will continue to be provided to the public as it becomes available.
