Changes have been made to the “Rules for the implementation of the protection of precious metals and precious stones by legal entities, as well as individual entrepreneurs carrying out operations with precious metals and precious stones, during their production, processing, use, circulation, and transportation of products made from them.”
In this regard, Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a Decree.
According to the Decree, during the import and export of rough diamonds, rough diamonds must be transported in secure packages with a constructive structure that protects them from external interference and prevents their return to their original form after interference, and appropriate identification means (seals, stamps, etc.) must be applied to the packages.
During the import, export, use, circulation, accounting, storage, and tracking of rough diamonds, the organization of their protection is carried out free of charge by an armed crew of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The Decree enters into force from the day our country joined the “Kimberley Process Certification Scheme.”
