Intermittent precipitation has been observed in some regions of Azerbaijan, with frost up to 12 degrees Celsius recorded in mountainous areas.

The editorial office reports that this was noted in the information from the National Hydrometeorology Service as of December 16, 9:00 AM.

It was stated that snow has fallen in the mountainous areas. The height of the fallen snow is 11 cm in Kalbajar, 8 cm in Khaltan, 6 cm in Lazada (Qusar), 4 cm in Dashkasan, and 1 cm in Rvarud (Lerik).

The amount of precipitation recorded is 7 mm in Lerik, 3 mm in Baku and the Absheron peninsula, as well as in Astara and Qusar, 2 mm in Quba, and 1 mm in Khaltan, Shamakhi, Neftchala, Bilasuvar, Yardimli, Lankaran, Griz, Jalilabad, Kalbajar, Lachin, and Nakhchivan. Fog has been observed in Griz, Sabirabad, Lerik, and Naftalan, with visibility limited to 500 meters.

The minimum air temperature recorded was 4 degrees Celsius in Baku and the Absheron peninsula, up to 1 degree Celsius in the Aran regions, 8 degrees Celsius in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 5 degrees Celsius in mountainous regions, and up to 12 degrees Celsius frost in high mountainous areas.
