As a result of operational-search measures carried out by the operational apparatus of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice, the smuggling of narcotic and psychotropic substances into Correctional Facility No. 11 has been prevented.

It was stated that during a search of a relative who came for a short-term visit with a convict, 8.212 grams of heroin and 4.873 grams of methamphetamine were found in two cellophane packages.
An investigation is underway regarding the incident.
It is once again brought to the attention of citizens that giving or transferring prohibited items to persons held in correctional facilities or pre-trial detention centers leads to criminal liability.
