“According to the new rules, the amount of financial resources allocated to websites has been increased, which in turn should be accompanied by an increase in the minimum number of employees, as well as the minimum salary for journalists.”
The editorial office reports that Natig Mammadli, Deputy Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, said this in an interview with Azertac while commenting on the Agency's new rules for support competitions.
“As can be seen, while the state's financial support on the one hand supports the media's integration into the digital environment and its competitiveness, on the other hand, it also considers strengthening the social protection of journalists a priority,” N. Mammadli noted.
It should be recalled that the minimum salary for journalists working on websites supported by MEDİA has been increased from 600 manats to 800 manats. According to the new rules, the amount of financial resources allocated to websites has also been increased from 3000 manats to 5000 manats, and the minimum number of employees has been set at 4 people.
