The UN Secretary-General stated that currently the world spends more money on wars and armaments than on strengthening peace. According to him, this trend leads to dangerous consequences.

The Secretary-General called on the international community to pay more attention to peace initiatives and emphasized that preventing conflicts is precisely the main condition for sustainable development.
