The local subsidiary of Turkey's "Baykar Makina" company, "Bayraktar Teknoloji Azərbaycan" LLC, has started the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The enterprise carries out production in the Sumgait Industrial Park, which is managed by the Agency for the Development of Economic Zones under the Ministry of Economy.
The products are currently intended for the domestic market.
"Bayraktar Teknoloji Azərbaycan" was granted the status of a resident of Sumgait Industrial Park in May of this year.
The State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy registered "Bayraktar Teknoloji Azərbaycan" in 2022. The company's legal address is Baku city, Nasimi district, Zarifa Aliyeva street, 115, its authorized capital is 1.7 million manats, and its legal representative is Hüseyin Topuz, the field coordinator of "Baykar Makina".
"Baykar Makina" is engaged in the production of "Bayraktar" UAVs. The creator of these UAVs, widely used by the Azerbaijani Army in the 2020 Patriotic War, is Selçuk Bayraktar. He is also the technical director of "Baykar Savunma" company.
