The D-8 Media Forum is being held in Baku with the participation of heads of institutions responsible for media in D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation member states, leading media entities, other high-ranking representatives, and renowned experts in the field, on the topic of “Promoting Dialogue, Cooperation, and Regional Solidarity.”
Hikmət Hacıyev, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, first read out President Ilham Aliyev's address to the Forum participants.
It should be noted that within the framework of the forum, two panel sessions on “Responsible Journalism and Digital Innovation” and “Strategic Communication and Crisis Management,” as well as a workshop on “Media Ethics in a Digitalizing World: Technologies, Trends, and Narratives,” are planned.
A total of approximately 150 guests are participating in the Forum, including 71 foreign representatives from 8 countries and the Organization's Secretariat.
