Spring Charity Fair Held in Baku

A Spring Charity Fair, bringing together many residents and guests of the city, has been held in Baku.

This was reported by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Baku.

The event was organized by the International Women's Club – Baku and the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Azerbaijan.

The fair was supported by dozens of foreign embassies operating in Baku, local and foreign companies, and volunteers.

Alim Bayel, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan, delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of such events amidst global upheavals. The diplomat stressed that mutual aid and support for those in need, especially children and women, are an integral part of our civilization's code. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan attaches particular importance to volunteering.

Asemgul Bayel, President of the International Women's Club – Baku, thanked everyone who contributed to the organization of the fair, adding that every donation would reach its intended recipients. The funds raised will be used to support the families of martyrs and veterans, children with disabilities, women entrepreneurs in need of assistance, single mothers raising their children, and orphanages. Asemgul Bayel noted that the mission of the International Women's Club is to support those in need and foster dialogue among people from diverse cultures.

At the opening of the event, Hijran Huseynova, Chair of the Parliament's Committee on Family, Women, and Children Affairs, as well as Saadat Yusifova, Deputy Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, delivered speeches. They thanked the organizers of the fair. The guests highlighted that Baku residents also get to know Kazakh culture more closely through the charity fair.

Within the framework of the fair, handicrafts and artisanal products by local and foreign masters, as well as dishes from various nations, were sold. Additionally, an interesting music program and entertainment were presented, and a lottery with prize giveaways was organized.

The International Women's Club – Baku, established over thirty years ago, is a non-profit organization that unites women representing various countries and cultures with the aim of strengthening friendship, mutual understanding, and supporting charitable and social projects. Wives of accredited ambassadors in Baku, prominent women entrepreneurs, and public figures are members of the club. As of February 1, 2026, Asemgul Bayel, the wife of the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan, has been elected President of the Club. The Vice-President is Azerbaijani entrepreneur Jamila Huseynova.
