It can be confidently stated that the historic peace agreement reached during the visit is another diplomatic success and political triumph for Azerbaijan. After many years of conflicts, confrontations, and massacres, horizons of peace are opening in the South Caucasus. This is a turning point of great importance not only for Azerbaijan and Armenia but also for the entire region, as well as the international community. Peace and stability are coming to the South Caucasus region, which has been purposefully turned into a zone of confrontation for almost the last forty years.
We can confidently say that with Azerbaijan's determination and will, and with the witness of the world's most powerful state, peace is being established in the South Caucasus today. This is not just a political act – it is a major humanitarian, economic, and moral event that will affect the fate of future generations. Peace, stability, and development will bring positive results not only for one country but for the entire region and the world. In this context, the “Trump Prosperity and Peace Route” initiated by President Donald Trump holds special significance. This route is not just about physical infrastructure and communication lines. It is also a system of values that breaks down walls, helps to leave behind painful memories of the past, and builds new bridges between people and nations. This initiative will create great opportunities for several countries in terms of investment, economic stability, and prosperity. After the historic White House meeting, the esteemed President Mr. Ilham Aliyev addressed the entire world from Washington regarding the successes and achievements made. Giving a profound interview to our country's media representatives, the Head of State drew special attention to the historic peace mission of the USA and its President Donald Trump. Emphasizing the importance of valuing such rare occurrences in the modern world, Mr. President particularly stressed the critical need for robust, reliable, and sustainable peace and stability to finally come to our planet.
The Head of State emphasized that Azerbaijan and Armenia were purposefully dragged into deep confrontations and war around the time they restored their independence, stating that this dealt a major blow to our region and the welfare of our peoples. However, it is evident that history is changing. Regardless of religion, race, or nationality, the peoples of the world want to live in peace and tranquility.
