Pork-derived components have been discovered in "Papa mojet" branded beef sausage produced in Russia.

Modern.az reports that during an inspection of the product by the Moscow Region Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, it was determined that pork DNA predominated in the sausage's composition.

According to the information, the manufacturer violated product labeling rules by presenting it as beef sausage and affixing a "halal" label. This was assessed as misleading Muslim consumers in particular, and representatives of the religious community filed a complaint regarding the issue. Subsequently, the case was investigated by "Rospotrebnadzor".

However, the agency only issued a warning and imposed a minor fine against the enterprise. No official information has been provided regarding whether the "halal" label has been removed from the product.

It should be noted that "Papa mojet" branded sausages and frankfurters are also widely represented in the Azerbaijani market, and currently, 400 grams of these sausages are offered for 7 manats in markets across our country.
