Judge Ali Jalilov of the Qusar District Court protested his own ruling during a court session.

The editorial reports, citing "Teleqraf," that this occurred during the preparatory hearing of the defendant accused under Articles 178.2.2 and 178.2.4 of the Criminal Code.

The indictment states that the defendant, driven by greed, abused the trust of a Qusar resident and misappropriated a total of 8,500 manats. The defendant falsely promised the victim that he would secure a lenient sentence for their son in a criminal case under Article 152.1 of the Criminal Code at the Qusar District Court.

As a result, Ali Jalilov, who presided over the preparatory hearing, protested his own ruling. The court considered it inappropriate to hear the current criminal case at the said court because the Qusar District Court's name was mentioned in the case.

The Sumgayit Court of Appeal will assess the appropriateness of the Qusar District Court not hearing the criminal case of the defendant.

It should be noted that Ali Jalilov was appointed to the Qusar District Court in 2022.
