The role of Azerbaijani women in our society, who have enriched both national and world culture with rare gems, is immeasurable. Azerbaijani women consistently contribute not only to culture, science, education, and healthcare but also to the country's political life and the resolution of crucial issues. We can name hundreds of prominent Azerbaijani women thinkers whose names are etched in gold letters in the socio-political thought history of Azerbaijan.

The high intellect and way of thinking that Azerbaijani women possess are highly valued by the world community, parallel to the Azerbaijani people. Today, women are figures who are competently represented in all spheres of society, alongside being caring mothers. The competent representation of Azerbaijani women in all areas of our society today has been made possible not only by their high professionalism but also by the successful gender policy implemented by the country's leadership. Since his return to political power in our country, i.e., from 1993 onwards, the participation of women in socio-political life, their representation in state administration, and their equal rights with men in all fields have become one of the priority directions of the state administration course established by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

It should be noted that our Constitution, the highest legal document of our state, also confirms the equal rights of women with men and creates the most democratic basic principles for their participation in the process of democratic state building. Today, the state's women's policy in our Republic, and the traditions laid down by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in this regard, are being competently implemented by the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Mr. Ilham Aliyev. Mr. President pays close attention to the role and place of women in society, their representation in state administration, and their advancement.

The congratulatory message addressed to Azerbaijani women by the head of state every year on the occasion of March 8 - International Women's Day is a manifestation of the attention and respect shown to representatives of the fair sex. All of this is driving an increase in the socio-political activity of Azerbaijani women and strengthening their role in the development of our society and the process of state building.
