Azerbaijan ranked 64th among 167 countries in the UN's 2025 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) report, maintaining stable growth in social and economic indicators.

The editorial office reports that the country's overall SDG index was 72.9 points, and its spillover index was 91.7 points. This result indicates that Azerbaijan has achieved continuous progress in education, healthcare, and social welfare in recent years. Access to electricity, clean water, and medical services for the population has been ensured at a high level.

According to the report, 100 percent of the population has access to electricity, and 98 percent has access to basic drinking water services. Only 3 percent of the population lives on less than 3.65 US dollars per day. Stunting among children is 13 percent, and the overweight rate is 10 percent. The level of participation in education exceeds 90 percent, noted as one of the highest indicators in the region.

In the healthcare sector, maternal mortality was recorded at 41 per 100,000 births, and infant mortality at 19 incidents per 1,000 births. Access to medical services has stabilized with indicators close to 100 percent. Women's representation in parliament has increased to 17.6 percent, creating a positive trend in social participation.

In the energy sector, the share of renewable energy has approached 7 percent. The government is expanding new initiatives towards a green economy and environmental stability.

If this pace continues, Azerbaijan could achieve several SDG targets ahead of schedule by 2030. The country continues to maintain its important position in the region in terms of both economic stability and social development.
