"ATV" channel has been warned for advertising the therapeutic properties of hypnosis and bioenergy effects.
The editorial office reports that this decision was made at today's online meeting of the Audiovisual Council.
Specifically, the incident that occurred during the "Gün ortası" (Midday) program, broadcast on "ATV" television channel on November 13, was discussed at the meeting.
In the aforementioned program, a guest applied a "remote energy transfer" method to the host in the studio, and the host positively evaluated these actions after the session. Specialists from the Council's Department for Monitoring and Analysis of Audiovisual Programs recorded these statements as a violation of Article 29.8 of the "Law on Advertising" (advertising of mass therapeutic sessions, hypnosis methods, and the therapeutic properties of psychic and bioenergy effects is not permitted).
The lawyers of the Audiovisual Council confirmed this fact as a violation.
Taking into account that this was the first time such a violation occurred on the channel's broadcast, the Council members agreed to issue a warning to "ATV" television channel.
