Commemoration Ceremony Serves to Strengthen Spiritual Closeness Among Peoples

A few days ago, my fellow deputies and I participated in a commemoration ceremony organized at the Caucasus Muslims Office in connection with the 40th day of the passing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

Such ceremonies are, first and foremost, an expression of mutual respect, human and spiritual values among peoples. The 40th-day ceremony is one of the important traditions in the Islamic world, carrying special meaning, where the memory of the deceased is honored and respect is expressed. The organization of such ceremonies should be regarded as both a sign of respect for religious and spiritual values and an indicator of mutual relations.

What connects Azerbaijan and Iran is not only geographical proximity but also a shared history, culture, religious values, and relations formed over centuries. Such commemoration ceremonies also serve to manifest this bond more clearly and strengthen spiritual closeness among peoples.

Relations between Azerbaijan and Iran have always been built on the principles of mutual respect, good neighborliness, and cooperation. The preservation and development of these relations are of particular importance for ensuring stability and security in the region. Steps taken during such sensitive periods contribute to further strengthening trust between states.

At the same time, such events increase mutual understanding among peoples, serve to protect common values, and demonstrate that relations develop not only on a political but also on a human level. Azerbaijan always prioritizes maintaining friendly relations with neighboring states, and steps taken in this direction create a strong foundation for long-term cooperation.

I believe that such approaches make a significant contribution to the further development of Azerbaijan-Iran relations, the strengthening of mutual trust, and the formation of a stable, friendly environment in the region.
