The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) halted all arrivals and departures at Reagan National Airport due to a “security incident” involving a United Airlines flight from Houston to Washington.
The editorial office reports that all passengers on board the aircraft were evacuated and transported to the terminal by bus. An airport spokesperson stated that the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority police forces are conducting an extensive investigation into the incident with the participation of numerous law enforcement agencies.
Currently, the runways have been reopened, and operations at the airport have resumed.
