The US Department of Commerce and Chainlink are collaborating to bring official government macroeconomic data to the blockchain. This step aims to increase the transparency and accessibility of government data, while also enabling the use of more accurate and reliable information in financial markets. This collaboration is valuable as an example of blockchain technology's application in the public sector.

Redaksiya reports that six key indicators from the Bureau of Economic Analysis, including Real GDP, the Personal Consumption Expenditures Price Index (PCE Price Index), and Real Final Sales to Private Domestic Purchasers, are now available via Chainlink Data Feeds. This provides financial analysts, investors, and other interested parties with access to reliable and immutable data in real-time. The data feeds provided by Chainlink ensure the reliability and security of the information.

This collaboration is a clear example of how blockchain technology can be used in the management of government data. Storing data on the blockchain prevents its falsification and facilitates the dissemination of information to a wider audience. This also helps in making more effective decisions in financial markets.

This development could accelerate the expansion of blockchain technology's application in the public sector and encourage more government agencies to benefit from this technology. This will increase data transparency, prevent corruption, and ensure easier access for citizens to government data.
